Chain of Hope helps children in desperate need of heart treatments. Here are just a few children who owe their lives to the many medical experts, volunteers and generous donors who help us to carry out this incredible work.

Adam
Adam is from Iraq and lives in Jordan with his parents as a refugee. He was diagnosed with a large Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) and needed urgent operation to survive.
Shouq
Baby Shouq from Syria lives in Zaatari Refugee Camp which is the home of more than 80,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan.
Noralain
Two year old Noralain from Yemen was extremely blue and failing to thrive, when her aunt, Magda found help through Chain of Hope on Facebook.
Adrian
Five year old Adrian was the first child from Bolivia to be treated by Chain of Hope. Adrian was operated on by Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub and the team at the Aswan Heart Centre in Egypt.
Podolsky
Two Year old Podolsky is from Haiti and was born with life-threatening heart disease that seriously affected his growth and nutrition, he was failing to thrive.
Ahmed
Baby Ahmed was born with a complex congenital heart condition, which meant he needed heart surgery to survive. Chain of Hope flew him and his mother to London where successful surgery has meant Ahmed and his family were able to celebrate his first birthday!
Heba
Born with a life-threatening congenital heart disease in war-torn Iraq, baby Heba’s luck was transformed when she was chanced upon by a BBC film crew.
Ebrima
There is no cardiac care in the whole of The Gambia, so when 5 year-old Ebrima was diagnosed with a serious heart condition, consultants there asked Chain of Hope to fund treatment in the UK.
Sharon
Sharon was born with congenital heart disease that required open heart surgery. Referred by a hospital in Nairobi, Sharon’s life was saved by Great Ormond Street Consultant surgeon, Mr Martin Kostolny who operated on Sharon with a voluntary team in the UK.
