In 2017 Chain of Hope was invited by The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health to help develop desperately needed cardiac services within the Country. Chain of Hope have been working with The Ola During Children’s Hospital in Freetown, Sierra Leone’s tertiary centre for paediatrics to conduct outreach clinics providing cardiology and echocardiography training for the local physicians and also flying children overseas for urgent cardiac surgery. Chain of Hope also collaborate with Sierra Leonean Foundation Pikin Bizness, who help fund and facilitate the complex logistics of flying children overseas.
